Day 1:
You’ll fly into Anchorage where we’ll pick you up in a luxurious RV that will serve as home base for the duration of the adventure. From there, we hit the local Walmart for supplies and licenses. That night we will park and prepare for the next days trek.
Day 2:
After a good breakfast, we’ll start our journey to Homer, Aklaska. Along the way you will have frequent stops along the Kenai River at some of our favorite honey holes. That evening, we’ll arrive in Homer where you can explore the town, check out the docks, or belly up to the bar at the world famous Salty Dawg Saloon.
Day 3:
Bright and early, you will board your first chartered excursion. You’ll spend the day chasing halibut in the Gulf of Alaska. Make sure you have plenty of layers and waterproof clothing because it can get wet! You’ll have the possibility of seeing sea otters, humback whales, or maybe even a pod of orcas.
Day 4:
With no time to waste, we’ll head up the Kasilof River. There, you’ll board an Alaskan river boat for your second charter. Spend the day flossing for salmon or fly fishing for trout while enjoying the beutiful views of the Alaskan wilderness.
Day 5:
While you may be ready for a rest day, the action doesn’t stop. We’ll spend the day treking back towards Wittier, Alaska. Along the way, we’ll stop at some of our favorite honey holes. We’ll make a stop at Troutfitter, the premier local fly shop.
Day 6:
After making our way through the longest tunnel in North America, we’ll wake up in Wittier, Alaska. There, you’ll board your 3rd charter. You’ll be ripping lips on offshore salmon and chasing the ever elusive King salmon. There’s always the possibility of landing a rockfish or cod.
Day 7:
We’ll spend the day making our way back towards Anchorage. Depending on flight times, we may have some time to do more fishing, if you’re up to it. We’ll also make time to stop and pack your fish for the flight home. Although we hate to say goodbye, you’ll be ready to get home and tell evryone about your Alaskan adventure.
